Hello I’m Shirley Tarran and I am delighted to welcome you to my website. My aim is to offer you a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence, where you can explore your issues in safety.
- I am a fully qualified counsellor accredited with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and my work is governed by their Code of Ethics.
- I am warm, empathic and non-judgemental and also have a good sense of humour
- I work confidentially with my clients
- I have a very high success rate with clients who come from all ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations
- I use several different models of counselling to help my clients integratively
- I work with both adults and young people from the age of 11 upwards.
- I work in both private practice and for Relate on their counselling team.
- I supervise counsellors in private practice and in organisations.
- I hold an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check
